Feb 25th 2023 Biomaker Workshop in Cambridge

Next Biomaker Training Workshop in Cambridge, February 25th 2023
"If you’re interested in developing skills for building new devices, adapting low-cost precision components as sensors,  displays, communications for lab or field experiments - then this free workshop with takeaway hardware is for you!"

You will be provided with an Arduino-compatible microcontroller board including sensors, display and output devices. The circuit board can be plugged into the USB port of your laptop (Mac or PC), and a simple visual programming environment used to program it. XOD provides a graphical way of programming using a flowchart-like system of interconnected nodes (https://xod.io). Each node corresponds to hardware device or computational process, and data flow is controlled by connections between the nodes that are drawn on-screen. With this, you can rapidly build and test custom instrumentation.

Workshop schedule

Saturday 25th February

Location: Practical Laboratory, Ground Floor
Department of Plant Sciences, Downing Street, Cambridge.
