New Workshop Dates Announced- 27th June & 1st July

The Engineering Biology IRC is pleased to announce the dates for the 2022 No-Code Programming for Biology Training Workshop. The workshop will take place over two sessions from 5:30-7:00pm on 27th June and 1st July, and will include hands-on sessions, as well as the opportunity to meet other budding biomakers.

These workshop are designed for biologists and others with little formal programming experience who have never picked up a soldering iron - but who would like to be able to build programmable scientific controllers or instruments for their work. This is a repeat of the very popular workshop we’ve held last two years and will be a great opportunity for students and researchers to expand their skillsets and advance their research at the same time. During the session we aim to get participants up and running with building their own custom devices for use in the lab and field. With simplified beginner’s kits, and a programme adapted for distance learning, we hope that this workshop can offer a new set of skills that will be useful for a future career in biological research. No coding or electronics experience is required, and we will work though a number of simple tasks step-by-step.

You can find more information about the workshops on the Eventbrite page, or contact coordinator@engbio.cam.ac.uk.
